7.0/10
I booked a night at the hotel, and despite some signs that a decor update was needed, it didn't take away from my overall enjoyment. The location on the High Street, although potentially noisy, was lovely with excellent food and a great view of the Isle of White. The service, though lacking in staff, was pleasant and helpful but could have been friendlier. The dining was nice overall, although a bit costly considering no direct response to concerns.
Rooms
7.0
Located at the top of three spiral staircases, the room I stayed in was clean and comfortable, providing a decent value for £100 for the night.
Service
6.0
The staff, albeit not enough, were pleasant, well-presented, and offered helpful service; albeit they could have been friendlier and more attentive.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location, though potentially noisy due to the High Street, was lovely, with easy access to the town, a short walk to the quay, friendly bars, and a great view of the Isle of White.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was nice, but I had minor issues with finding service when needed, and the pricing seemed a bit steep based on my expectations from the Booking confirmation.
Facilities
Overall, the facilities provided were up to the images portrayed, and there was parking available.

7.4/10
The hotel is nicely decorated and cozy, with an enormous double bed in the room. Although the hand-held shower was a bit difficult to use, there was nothing else we didn't like. The relaxed ambience of the entrance and bar area, along with the helpful service, made our stay really pleasant. The location is excellent, right in the middle of town and close to various amenities, although the property seems to lack some investment from the management. The dining options were limited to continental breakfast, which was not clearly communicated during booking.
